Smartreader Embedded exposes several configuration tabs in the web interface. Each tab allows tailoring how the reader operates and how tag data is delivered.

• Home – check the firmware version, serial number and manage the license key.

• Reader Settings – configure RF parameters, antenna zones and the advanced GPO behaviour.

• Logical Points – group antennas under a shared name so multiple readers can represent the same dock.

• Keepalive – enable periodic notifications signalling that the reader and application are running.

• Data Format – choose what information is included in the output and apply tag filtering rules.

• Positioning – designate certain antennas as positioning antennas and receive location reports.

• Validation – validate tag events against custom rules such as a single GTIN per batch.

• Barcode – integrate a USB or network barcode reader and append the barcode value to tag events.

• Tasks – manage inventory validation workflows by tracking expected items against actual RFID tag reads, with support for ASNs, packing lists, and progress monitoring.

• External API Integration – integrate with external systems for product verification, order management, data publishing, and analysis operations.

• Configuration Provisioning – automatically check for and download configuration updates from a cloud-based provisioning service.

• Metrics & Monitoring – monitor system health, performance, and operational status through Prometheus-compatible metrics.

• Data Output Options – publish data using MQTT, HTTP POST, TCP or UDP sockets, USB serial or USB flash drive.

• Firmware – trigger firmware upgrades from a predefined URL.

• Backup/Restore – download or restore the JSON configuration file.

• Admin – update the administrator and RShell passwords.

• REST API – manage the application programmatically via HTTP.
